Roz gives Frasier a copy of his first broadcast as a present to celebrate his three-year anniversary at KACL. As he listens, Frasier remembers the events as he first arrived in Seattle and reunited with Niles and Martin. During Roz's line, "And the mystery of Dave's departure deepens" she holds some papers in her left hand and some broadcast-type tape cartridges in her right. In the next the carts have disappeared and the papers are in her right hand.

In the flashback scene of Fraser's first day at the station the makeup department neglected to return his mullet haircut. Grandmother took us to the park to ride the carousel, and you made all those little children wait while you wiped off your painted pony. Well, I've just realized that being part of a family is really worth the effort.
